Bangladesh Biochemistry Olympiad 2016 [Registration]

Registration for 7th Biochemistry Olympiad 2016 has started from 1st November, 2015. 

The Olympiad will take place at Curzon Hall, University of Dhaka on 19th March, 2016. 

All school/college students enrolled in classes 9 to 12 and private candidates of equivalent levels are eligible to participate. The competition is divided into two categories: Junior (Class IX, X, and SSC/O Level) and Senior (Class XI, XII, and HSC/A Level). 

For registration form, Click Here.  You have to fill up the form and submit it to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Curzon Hall, University of Dhaka by 31st January, 2016. The registration fee is 250 BDT and 20 students from each institution in each category are eligible to participate.

Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad 2016 [Registration]

Registration for 14th Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad 2016 has started from 6th December, 2015. 

The regional rounds will start from 18th December and the national round will take place on 12th and 13th February, 2016. Full schedule can be seen here. 

All school/college students enrolled in classes 3 to 12 and private candidates of equivalent levels are eligible to participate. The winners of this year’s competition will represent Bangladesh at the 57th International Mathematical Olympiad 2016 to be held in Hong Kong.

Bangladesh National Earth Olympiad 2015 [Registration]

Registration for Bangladesh National Earth Olympiad (NEO) 2015 is going on. 

Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative (BYEI) will be organizing the preliminary rounds in 8 divisional cities on 26th December, 2015. 

All school/college students enrolled in classes 8 to 12 and private candidates of equivalent levels are eligible to participate. The winners of this year’s competition will represent Bangladesh at the 10th International Earth Science Olympiad 2016 to be held in Japan.

International Biology Olympiad Papers (IBO) (1990-2013) [Past Olympiad Papers]

IBO is one of the international science Olympiads. The first International Biology Olympiad took place at Olomouc, Czechoslovakia in 1990. The latest edition of IBO took place recently at Aarhus, Denmark.

All participating countries send the four winners of their National Biology Olympiad to the IBO, accompanied by usually one team leader and two observers/jurors. 

The competition itself is composed of a theoretical and practical element. The theory exams cover a wide range of Biology: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Plant Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Ethology, Genetics and Evolution, Ecology, and Biosystematics. The marks are scaled so that the theory and practical components each have a weighting of about fifty percent.

Bangladesh Physics Olympiad (BdPhO) 2016 [Registration]

Registration for Bangladesh Physics Olympiad 2016 is going on. 

There will be three categories in this year. Students who are studying at class 7 and 8 will be in the 'A' category; Students who are studying at class 9 and 10 will be in the 'B' category; Students from 11th and 12th grade will be in the 'C' category. Students who appeared H.S.C or A Levels exam this year will not be able to participate in any circumstances. Based on the performance of training camp, top 5 students will be selected for next year's International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2016 to be held in Switzerland.

Bangladesh Junior Science Olympiad (BdJSO) 2015 [Registration]

Society for Science Popularization in Bangladesh is going to organize Bangladesh Junior Science Olympiad for the very first time. 

The winners will get the opportunity to represent Bangladesh at the 12th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2015 to be held at Daegu, Republic of Korea. BdJSO will take place at Govt. Teachers’ Training College – Dhaka and open to secondary school students.
