Solving problems from the previous Olympiad papers is an excellent way to prepare for any Olympiad. 

The purpose of this post is to share the recent papers of USA Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad and Indian Astronomy Olympiad in order to help you with the upcoming regional Astronomy Olympiad in your country. Do try to come out with your own solution first, and then, review their solution.

International Biology Olympiad Papers (IBO) (1990-2013) [Past Olympiad Papers]

IBO is one of the international science Olympiads. The first International Biology Olympiad took place at Olomouc, Czechoslovakia in 1990. The latest edition of IBO took place recently at Aarhus, Denmark.

All participating countries send the four winners of their National Biology Olympiad to the IBO, accompanied by usually one team leader and two observers/jurors. 

The competition itself is composed of a theoretical and practical element. The theory exams cover a wide range of Biology: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Plant Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Ethology, Genetics and Evolution, Ecology, and Biosystematics. The marks are scaled so that the theory and practical components each have a weighting of about fifty percent.

United States Physics Olympiad (USAPhO) Papers (2007-2014) [Past Olympiad Papers]

The United States Physics Olympiad (USAPhO) is run by the American Association of Physics Teachers and American Institute of Physics to select the team for representing United States at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). 

The selection process is done through many stages. The preliminary round is known as the "F = ma" contest, then semi-final contest and finally a rigorous training camp at the University of Maryland (previously there used to be a Quarter-final round).

United States Astronomy & Astrophysics Olympiad (USAAAO) 2014 Papers [Past Olympiad Papers]

This is the question paper of United States Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad 2013-2014. Since Bangladesh Astronomy Olympiad 2015 is going to take place in the next month, I believe solving this problem set will help you to go some extra miles in the competition.

Iran Astronomy & Astrophysics Olympiad (IAAO) 2014 Papers [Past Olympiad Papers]

Iran's 8th IOAA (International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics) team has secured 4 Gold Medals and 6 Silver Medals in the competition. 

So far, this is the Iran team's best result in IOAA. This year's team has designed a set of problems, which will be helpful for preparation of Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad. It consists problems of total 1100 marks.

International Astronomy Olympiad Papers (IAO) (2011-2014) [Past Olympiad Papers]

The International Astronomy Olympiad was founded by Eurasian Astronomical Society in 1996. 

The competing part of IAO consists of three rounds: a theoretical, an observational, and a practical. Problems of the theoretical round involve classical problems in branches of astronomy, astrophysics, space and planetary physics, and maybe hypothetical situations. The observational round involves recognizing stars, constellations, estimating star magnitude and angular distance, working with telescopes or other observational technique. The practical round consists of problems based on data results of observations, solutions propose analysis of these data. Here are the problems of IAO, some are really old and some of the papers are latest. Enjoy!
