11th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad 2015

2015 should be marked as one of the best years in the history of Astronomy Olympiad in Bangladesh. This year Bangladeshi students have secured 2 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal at Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad.

Award Winners

1. Mahmud Un Nobe – Gold Medal (Absolute Winner- Alpha Group). 

2. Fairuz Ishraque – Gold Medal (Absolute Winner- Beta Group).  

3. Barha Meherun Pritha  – Bronze Medal.

The Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad (APAO) is a regional annual astronomy competition for high school students from Asian countries. This year, it was the 11^th edition of the competition and took place in Dhaka from November 13-22. Apart from Bangladesh, teams from Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan participated in this year's competition.
