International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)

Finally Bangladesh has got the membership of International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)

The International Junior Science Olympiad (or just IJSO) is a major international science competition held annually. The competition is known for being intensive and demanding and requires a wide range of knowledge in all three sciences.

Format

For the competition, each country may only send a team of up to 6 students, Age 15 or younger, and 3 official team leaders.

Examinations

The examinations consist of three separated tests, done in different days. The tests require knowledge about science of physics, chemistry and biology. The maximum score is 100 points.

Bangladesh Physics Olympiad 2014

Bangladesh Physics Olympiad 2014 is going to take place soon. In the preliminary stage, the competition will held across the 7 divisions (Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet, Barishal, Khulna) and 3 regions (Mymensingh, Kushtia, Comilla).

The competition is divided into three categories

1. Category A : Class 7 and 8.
2. Category B : Class 9 and 10.
3. Category C : Class 11, 12 and Pre-University.

Top scorers from Divisional Olympiad will be selected for National Round to be held in Dhaka.

Divisional Physics Olympiad 2014 registrations for Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet,Chittagong and Mymensingh are in progress.
